Tina Has Joined Our Group

Tina is a Master’s student in Molecular Life Sciences at Lübeck University and has just joined our group as an intern. Like Marie recently, Tina will carry out a short research project with us. Tina’s aim is to construct diagnostic genetic markers for the main Trichophyton species from their whole genome sequences. The fungi of the Trichophyton species cause skin infections in humans, including such nuisances as athlete’s foot. They are a rising public health hazard, and there is corresponding interest in constructing diagnostic markers for them. Let’s see what Tina finds. Welcome Tina!
